The new upscale Mazda CX-90 was first seen by US buyers just a short while back at the beginning of 2023, and seating up to eight passengers in three rows of seats, it is just the ticket for large families.
This newish luxury full-size crossover Mazda CX-90 PHEV was one of the first Mazda production models available with a hybrid powertrain in the North American market.

What's New for 2025?
Being only the second model year of this new nameplate, the 2025 Mazda CX-90 PHEV, which stands for "plug-in hybrid electric vehicle" for those who have been too scared to ask, continues with no changes besides some tweaks in the trim lineup.
For 2025, a new PHEV Premium Sport trim slots into the middle of the PHEV three-strong lineup, replacing the former 2024 Premium trim.
Trims available for the 2025 model year will now include Preferred, the new Premium Sport, and the range-topping Premium Plus.
Sporty Exterior
With no changes to the exterior design from the 2024 edition, the CX-90 PHEV trims feature Mazda's unmistakable signature KODO design philosophy, which is strikingly elegant and stylish.
Upfront features include the slim horizontal auto on/off and high beam control LED headlights along with standard LED daytime running lights that flank the chrome trim surrounded by a gloss black mesh grille.
All trims are fitted with body-colored heated power side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, black front, side, and rear lower body trim, and the wheel arches sport black wheel arch molding to protect the CX-90's paintwork in busy city parking lots and out on countryside trails.
The feature-rich CX-90 PHEV range sees fitment of rain-sensing variable-intermittent windshield wipers and an intermittent rear wiper/washer. Further luxury items across the three trims include a power sliding-glass moonroof with a tilt feature, a rear power liftgate with programmable height adjustment, rear privacy glass, LED combination tail lights, and aluminum roof rails.
All trims are fitted with an AWD badge, a PHEV fender badge, and alloy wheels. The 2025 CX-90 PHEV is available in eight exterior colors trim dependent, of which some colors are extra charge choices.

A 17.8-kWh Lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor and offers the below charging times with state of charge (SOC) at 20%-80% @ 75℉:
